The Dwarka Expressway at a glance

Trade reports describe sharp price gains along the corridor, but those numbers come from developers and portals, so treat them as indicative.

  • Route: 27.6 km (also called NH 248-BB, an auxiliary route of NH 48), from Shiv Murti near Mahipalpur in Delhi to near the Kherki Daula toll plaza on NH 48 in Gurugram.
  • Size: 16 lanes in total, an 8-lane elevated main carriageway and an 8-lane service road, with a tunnel near Delhi's airport.
  • Cost: about ₹7,500 crore for the whole project.
  • Timeline: the contract was first awarded in April 2011 and was delayed by land acquisition. The foundation stone was laid again on 8 March 2019, the 18.9 km Haryana stretch was inaugurated in March 2024, and the full route became operational in June 2025.
  • Connections: it joins UER-II and the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway at its northern end and NH 48 at Kherki Daula, with the Southern Peripheral Road interchange nearby.
